ASA, a leading micro-finance institution (MFI), has set a target to disburse Tk 35,000 crore (3500000 Million) as loans to 80 lakh clients in 2017. It disbursed Tk 24,000 crore (2400000 Million) in 2016. The MFI has opened 50 agricultural branches in a bid to assist small farmers across the country.
