The new Director-General of the NGO Affairs Bureau Mr. Md. Nurun Nabi Talukder has given the assurance that measures will soon be taken to ensure project clearance, registration and renewal in shortest possible time. The NGOs, on the other hand, should make sure that all the required papers and information are provided properly. He was talking to a delegation of the NGO Federation when the latter called on him on 28 October, 2010. The DG pointed out that the Bureau is ‘a promoting and not a controlling mechanism’. The Federation leaders gave the assurance that all cooperation will be extended to ensure transparency and accountability.
