The response to NGO Affaires Bureau’s amendment proposal on FD-2, FD-6, FD-7 and FC-1, the NGO Federation has submitted its views/recommendations to the Bureau on 31 May, 2010 (with hardcopy on 5 June). These have been prepared after series of threadbare discussions with and compilation of views of the concerned member organizations and sector networks. In addition to the details of various aspects the observations especially pointed out the difference between various characteristics of different NGOs like those engaged in service delivery programs, and those in advocacy and rights based activities. It was also point out that preparation of Monthly, Bi-monthly and Quarterly Reports and the engagement of the staff for these will severely affect implementation and quality of programs. It may be limited to Monthly Report to the Deputy Commissioner/UNO and Annual Report to the NGO Affairs Bureau. The purpose of the amendment, Federation’s observations said, is aimed at simplifying and not complicating the mechanism.
