Speakers at a seminar on 28 June in Dhaka have urged the government for formation of a Land Dispute Resolution Commission to protect the land rights of the indigenous people living on plain land. A study on the problems and deprivation of those people was presented at the seminar that said land sustains life and nurtures age old culture of the indigenous people. Organized by Association for Land Reform and Development (ALRD) the seminar was attended, among others, by the Information Commissioner Dr. Sedeka Halim.
